Evolve and Elevate: You cannot plan your whole life, Who has the authority to read Bhagavad Gita and What influences our lives the most?
Idea of the Week
What influences our lives the most?
“What do I want to do for the rest of my Life?”
“What do I feel inspired to explore more deeply at this point in my Life?”
The second question removes the pressure to plan your whole life in one moment.
And trains you to the ever-changing truth of your being.
Lesson of the Week
Bhagavad Gita says:
Bhagavad Gita says,
Because of our physical existence in the material world, we are trapped in worries and tensions.
Our existence is in its nonexistent form because of this Bhautik Sansar (the material world).
This means you exist in a physical form/body trapped in countless problems of the Bhautik Sansar (the material world).
And you are not aware of your true existence which is never caged but free and independent of this material world.
But we should not fear this non-existence of ours.
Our existence is SANATAN (forever/everlasting).
But because for some reason, we have been put into ASAT (the realm of nonexistence, populated by demons).
ASAT is associated with the one who is not aware of his/her existence.
From all the pain bearers or the ones engrossed with Suffering and worldly worries, there are only a few of them who truly are interested in knowing:
- Who they are and
- Why they have been placed in this Suffering.
Until the person feels the curiosity to know the reason behind his/her pain and realizes the need to find a solution as well, the person cannot be designated as SIDDH MANAV (perfect human).
Manavta (Humanity) activates only when this curiosity arises.
This curiosity is called Brahma-Jigyasa (inquiring about the Absolute Truth)
It means all our other projects are a failure or incomplete if we do not have Brahma-Jigyasa.
Hence, only the ones who are curious to understand and find out:
- Why are they going through pain?
- From where they have come? and
- Where will they go after death?
Only those people are considered to have the authority to read and understand Bhagavad Gita.
When a person forgets about his/her main purpose, God reincarnates to specially remind the purpose that one was born for.
But what does it mean, a person forgets?
Was the person aware of the purpose?
The body might not be aware.
But the soul is.
The soul that has been passing through so many bodies.
The soul that never dies.
The soul that is Sanatan (lasting forever)
But the body forgets.
The body that has died so many times.
The body which is temporary.
But life’s chapters keep guiding the soul of its true purpose. Like said above, God will keep giving you signals to remind you of your true purpose.
Even then, after giving countless reminders and signals, out of countless awakened souls, there is only one who comes to know about his/her reason of the suffering.
And this Bhagavad Gita is recited for him/her only.
Inspiration of the Week:
One thing that influences our lives the most?
The narrative we draw, how our lives should be is what influences our reality.
There is a picture that we want and there is a picture that we have.
Most of the times, they are different.
Our minds are victims, caged in the picture we want our real picture to look like.
Most of our life matters are not really the matters. They are our unfulfilled expectations to see the narrative go as per our imagination.
Who makes the narrative?
The picture you see around, that looks appealing to you but is a missing element in your life, becomes your desire.
And your mind creates a narrative around this desire.
Marrying the love of your life assuming the relationship to blossom like the one you saw around.
You created a picture about something you wish to be a part of.
And when the picture did not fit in the frame, your life was hit hard.
A different picture is not the cause of the sadness.
Sadness seeps in because your mind fails to get over the picture you drew in your mind.
Had the mind been an empty canvas, even the black and white colors would have made the picture great.
But now that you have a narrative around VIBGYOR…anything outside it is killing your rainbow.
We are deeply influenced by our imaginary world, anticipating it to be our reality someday.
And when the two are poles apart, our life feels crushed.
Our pain is not because of the picture we get, our pain is because of the picture we make in our minds.
Desires without a plan make you a victim of life.
The image of the picture you want is not enough, you need canvas, paintbrush, colors and above all you have to become the Painter too.
