Evolve and Elevate: Religion vs Spirituality, Association with God and Small things matter.
Idea of the Week
Lesson of the Week
Bhagavad Gita says:
In Bhagavad Gita, there is no approval for worshipping different Devtas (deities).
It is said that the Jeev (creature) whose mind is caged in Bhautik (worldly) desires will take refuge in these Devtas.
And according to their wishes and desires, such Jeevs indulge themselves in different types of worshipping of Devtas (deities).
People who are trapped in vasna/desire will worship Devtas instead of Parmeshwar (God).
Jeev is also like Parmeshwar (God).
He/she is Poorna (complete) with Chetna (senses) and keep searching for Sukh (happiness).
God is always Sukhi (happy) and if Jeev associates with God, then he/she will also become Sukhi (happy).
The only objective of every Jeev should be to go back to the Dhaam (residence) of Parmeshwar (God).
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna’s Dhaam (residence) is explained like this:
My Param Dhaam (permanent residence) is neither illuminated by the Sun or Moon nor by fire or light.
People who reach my Param Dhaam (permanent residence), never return to this Bhautik Jagat (Physical world).
Inspiration of the Week:
Small Things Matter.
We don’t struggle for small things as much as our desire for bigger things makes us suffer.
When I was chasing all the big things…neither I got the big ones, nor do I live the small ones.
In this chase game, I found myself as a loser.
I ran after big things, and I forgot to love the small ones.
And I ended up missing out on a lot of life.
My story has been a course.
I call it a Life Course!
Waiting for the Sun to come up, I missed a lot of moonlight.
Waiting for the morning sky, I missed a lot of Stars.
Waiting for the good time, I missed a lot of Life.
And now I stand here to take the rest of the nights not as dark chapters but as starry nights giving me a different shine.
The morning is definite, but it only comes when you accept the definiteness of Night.
I realized…
Life becomes a crisis when our desire to want more overshadows the happiness for the small things we already have.
The problem isn’t that we have less, the problem is we keep wanting more.
And there is no finishing line for our Wants.
The timeline of joy for having things that we wish for is fleeting.
And once we have things we need, we begin to desire for bigger things.
The sad part isn’t the unmet desires, it is the fading joy for the small things we once needed.
Life is beautiful.
And we haven’t yet unfolded the way to live it beautifully.
We are already gifted.
We are already in paradise.
We already have more than we deserve.
All that we need now, is the understanding to appreciate all that we have before we put up a new desire before the Universe.
